Sharon Faber is an internationally recognized speaker and consultant with more than 30 years of experience as a teacher, building and central office administrator, university professor, and staff development trainer.  During her years in education, she has taught almost every grade level, and she has been an assistant principal, principal, English and Reading Supervisor, Director of Leadership Training, and Middle School Facilitator. She was a professor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and Belmont Abbey College. 

 A literacy expert and president of Faber Consulting, Sharon served six years as a consultant and Senior Literacy Advisor for Modern Red SchoolHouse, a national organization that focuses on effective strategies to help schools and students succeed.  She has been a featured literacy expert for the Connect for Kids video, Lost for Words:  Literacy in America, and her work as been published in a variety of educational journals.  Dr. Faber received her bachelor of science degree from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas, her master’s in educational leadership from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and her doctorate in educational leadership from the University of Virginia.

Pete Lorain has served as a high school teacher, counselor and administrator.  He has worked as a middle school principal and director as well as as the director of human resources.  Pete served as an Administrator Assessor for the National Association of Secondary School Principals and as president of the National Middle School Association from 1996 - 1997.  Pete has conducted state assessments and strategic planning workshops in Rhode Island, Maryland, Arkansas, New Mexico, Ohio, Oregon and Texas, just to name a few.  He currently works as a private consultant specializing in the areas of Strategic Planning, Personnel, School Improvement, District Assessments, Middle Schools, Mentoring and Administrative Projects.

Debbie Silver is truly a “teacher’s teacher” and a “parent‘s parent“ She is an award-winning educator with 30 years experience as a classroom teacher, staff development instructor, and university professor. She is the mother and stepmother of five sons.

Her numerous recognitions include being named the 1990 Louisiana State Teacher of the Year and the 2007 Distinguished Alumnus from the College of Education at Louisiana Tech University. Along the way she has taught almost every grade level and most every kind of student. Dr. Silver has been an invited author for several educational journals and has given keynotes at state, national, and international conferences in 49 states, throughout Canada, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. She has been a featured teacher for the PBS OnLine Teacher Chat and several online teacher courses.
