Since its inception in 1973, National Middle School Association (NMSA) has been a voice for those committed to the educational and developmental needs of young adolescents. NMSA is the only national education association dedicated exclusively to the growth of middle level education.
NMSA has a network of 58 affiliate organizations in the United States, Canada, Europe, and Australia that strengthens our outreach to the regional, state, provincial, and local levels.

Texas ASCD:
Texas ASCD, a community of diverse educators, acts to improve teaching and learning for the success of all learners.

Texas Center for Educational Technology (TCET):
TCET was legislatively established in 1990 and the contract was awarded to the University of North Texas. Since that time, TCET has grown steadily to become nationally recognized in research and development in the area of educational technology for today's educational environments.

Texas Education Agency:
The mission of the Texas Education Agency is to build the capacity of the Texas public education system to provide all students a quality education that enables them to achieve their potential and fully participate now and in the future in the social, economic and educational opportunities of our state and nation.

Teacher Tool Bag:
Developed for teachers by teachers these sites, lessons, and resources from the World Wide Web have been put together into one site to save teachers from the hassle of searching and surfing the net.
This Digest describes the development of the standard middle school and the impact that development has had on rural areas. The Digest then describes the original goals of middle level education and how rural schools can accomplish these goals despite their small size
Finally, a website to help parents of middle schoolers understand what is necessary for parenting and educating these children!  This is a great site to use for parent night, PTA/PTO meetings, and parent conferences.
